If you haven't already done so, read chapters 1 through 3 and 15 of the book (don't study them; just look through them, so you are familiar with what they contain). <i>Bring the text to every class.</i> <p>(3) If you haven't already done so, get a red penlight or flashlight just bright enough to read or write or find your way around on the roof. <i>Bring the penlight to every class.</i> <p>(4) Read, but do not study, the webpage for part 1 of the Mercury Project, and print out the first page (either the web or PDF version, just so long as all the columns, including Mercury's right ascension and declination, print out).
